Abstract:Combined with the design of Wentouling large drainage pumping station in Huizhou City of Guangdong Province,the research on energy test,cavitation and runaway characteristics were conducted on a 15? slanting axis model pumping device,which was made up of slanting inlet and outlet passages.Based on experiments,the energy characteristic curves of model and prototype pump sets and runaway speed about the special blade angles and water head were obtained.The results prove that maximum efficiency of the pumping device is increased when the blade angle is decreased,and it is able to achieve 80% at blade angle of-4 degree.The designs of inlet and outlet passage profiles were optimized by CFD numerical simulation.The result shows that cavitation is satisfied and runway speed is safe,and the 15? slanting axis pumping device is an ideal low-head large pumping device.
