Abstract：Cardiac pacemaker implantation is an important therapy for chronic arrhythmia, however, the technique has not been skilled in a majority of cardiologists in countylevel hospitals. It bounds the application and popularization of the technique, and goes against the New Medical Reform goal of “serious illness being treated in the county”. In order to raise pacemaker implantation skills of cardiologists in countylevel hospitals and to improve the primary health care service, Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Medical Doctor Association initiated the “standardized treatment of arrhythmia and new technology training program in one hundred counties of China” in 2015, aiming to promote training of cardiac pacemaker implantation technique in one hundred selected counties in China. This paper covers basic information of authors onetoone teaching in Jiangsu Xinghua Peoples Hospital as a training instructor and shares his teaching experience. The author emphasizes teaching students in accordance of their aptitude. For those countylevel hospitals with better technical basis and other related conditions, key teaching points are stricter control of pacemaker implantation indications, improvement of implantation technique and postoperative programcontrolled management.
