Abstract:Objective To observe the influence of adjunctive therapy of captopril on cardiac troponin Ⅰ(cTnI), ECG and cardiac function among the children with viral myocarditis. Methods We selected 148 viral myocarditis children as research objects who had been treated in our hospital from November 2016 to October 2017. They were divided into two groups each with 74 cases in random number table method. The conventional combined treatment was applied in the control group while captopril was added to the observation group. The level of cTnI, ECG and cardiac function before and after therapy were observed and compared between the two groups. Results Before the treatment, the incidence rates of arrhythmia and ST-T change, the level of cTnI, and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) did not vary significantly between the two groups(P>0.05). After the therapy, the incidence rates of arrhythmia and ST-T change, and cTnI level in the observation group were all significantly lower than those in the control group while LVEF was higher, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Conclusion The adjunctive therapy of captopril for viral myocarditis is effective, which helps to modulate the cTnI level of the organism, reduce ECG abnormalities and enhance viral myocarditis children’s cardiac function.
