Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of ECG scatterplot in diagnosing incessant atrial tachycardia(IAT) and to provide important references for clinical diagnosis and treatement. Methods Retrospective review was performed on 45 IAT patients whose characteristics of 24hour Holter LorenzRR scatterplots were analyzed. Arrhythmia analysis was made with a combination of timeRR interval(tRR) scatterplot and the reversal technique. We selected 5 cases from them to make a concrete analysis. Results In Case 1, persistent IAT conducted down the ventricle at different conduction ratios(similar to atrial flutter) and with lower base frequency if compared with atrial flutter; its scatter set was lumpy and concentrated. In Case 2-4, repeated IAT showed multiple patterns in varied shapes in ECG scatterplot, which was resulted from different RR intervals caused by the alternate appearance of varied atrioventricular conduction ratios. By analyzing 24 and 1hour tRR scatterplots, and the reversal ECG, we can accurately obtain the frequency, occurrence time and duration of atrial tachycardia as well as making the diagnosis of atrial parasystolic rhythm further by LorenzRR scatterplot. Conclusion It helps establish a holistic view of ventricular rate in the attack of atrial tachycardia and atrioventricular conduction, and correctly evaluate hemodynamics to know and grasp the graphic features of IAT scatterplot.
