The intrinsic relationship between Lorenz-RR scatterplot and difference scatterplot

Abstract：Objective To discuss the intrinsic relationship between Lorenz-RR scatterplot and difference scatterplot, and to interpret reports of the two types of scatterplots correctly showed simultaneously in ambulatory electrocardiography(AECG). Methods The mathematical models of Lorenz-RR scatterplot and difference scatterplot were made separately with dynamic drawing and trajectory tracking functions of “Geometer’s Sketchpad”. The relationship between theoretical models and actual scatterplots was analysed when combined with practical cases.Results The theoretical models and the actual scatterplots almost overlapped. Conclusion The difference scatterplot is drawn by the vector difference within the Lorenz-RR scatterplot, which provides the rhythm information of AECG further. The two types of scatterplots are mutually complementary and make confirmation for each other.
