Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical characteristics and electrocardiographic manifestations of the patients with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy(ARVC). MethodsRetrospective analysis was performed on the clincal data of 29 ARVC patients who had been admitted in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2018. We observed their clinical characteristics, and examination results of chest Xray, echocardiography, cardiac MRI and electrocardiogram(ECG). ECG features were analyzed specifically. ResultsOf the 29 patients, those clinically characterized by ventricular arrhythmia accounted for 34.48%, right heart failure accounted for 17.24%, and symptomatic ones accounted for 48.28%. The proportion of asymptomatic type was the highest(P=0.01). Right heart enlargement and three cusp regurgitation were found by echocardiography in 48.28% of the patients. Right heart enlargement was discovered by Xray examination in 48.28% of the patients. Epsilon wave showed up in lead V1-V3 in 48.28% of the patients by ECG examination. The average value of QRS in lead V1-V3 and V4-V6 was denoted as QRS1 and QRS2, respectively. Of all the patients, the averages QRS1 and QRS2 was separately (0.13±0.04) s and (0.12±0.02) s; QRS1≥0.13 s was observed in 37.93% of the patients while QRS1/ QRS2≥1.2 was observed in 62.07%; those with T wave inversion in lead V1–V3 accounted for 31.03%. ConclusionARVC patients are mainly asymptomatic and arrhythmic types clinically. ECG is characterized by the appearance of Epsilon wave and QRS prolongation in right chest leads. ECG characteristics clinically provide diagnostic information of ARVC and help to reduce misdiagnosis rate.
