Abstract:Because of her special life experience and historical background, Pearl S. Buck has a very complicated feeling about home. In her autobiography My Several Worlds, she tells the special emotion about West Virginia, her birthplace, and Zhenjiang, China, where she grew up and lived for many years. Moreover, she also tells her efforts to build a new home on the Green Hills Farm, which combines the American culture with the Chinese one. These home narrations display her unique life course as a drifter, and helps us have a better understanding about her complicated identity and the home narration in her other literary works.
