Abstract:Effects of three variational blade angles on centrifugal pump performance are analyzed.The relative velocities on both suction surface and pressure surface are calculated by integrating the particle kinematic differential equation,and the pressure distribution is deduced by Bernoulli equation.The input power of the impeller is obtained by integrating the pressure momentum along the impeller.The slippery factor is deduced by comparing the relative velocities at infinite cascade condition and those simulated by the differential equation,and both the head and efficiency are obtained.According to the data simulated and the pump performance experimentally measured,the slippery theory can be used to accurately predict the pump head at design condition and the effect of blade angle on the pump performance.As a result,the distinction of double are blade and the linear-varying one has no obviously different effect on the pump performance,while the single blade produces lower head.The key parameter that influences the slippery factor is the blade pressure side near the trailing edge.
