Abstract:Based on new efficiency transformation formula between a model and a prototype, the Reynolds number’s effects on the efficiency transformation was analyzed. A number of tests were made so that the regression relationship between the index in the formula and speed ratio (Reynolds number ratio) could be determined. Finally, according to the relationship, the efficiencies of pumps and their systems were forecasted and the results show that the errors are very low, comparing with the experimental data.
