Abstract:Online education has gone through four stages: the incubation period with online universities and open education resources as the core, the embryonic period with cMOOC as the core, the expansion period with xMOOC as the core, and the transformation period with SPOC as the core. This forms a new pattern of symbiosis and mutual growth of online education and higher education reform: learning revolution, teaching reform, talent training evaluation innovation, and university organization remodeling. The study constructs a fourdimensional framework of "systemorganizationtechnologylearning community" of online education: to achieve good governance by multiagent cooperation, to improve quality and efficiency by resource coconstruction and sharing, to shape the pattern by information technology, and to build a benign cultural ecology by multiinteraction between teachers and students.
