Abstract:There is a certain amount of literature on the relationship between social network and college students′ entrepreneurial performance, while the relevant empirical research conclusions are not consistent. It is necessary to seek general conclusions through metaanalysis. Based on 5 868 samples of 24 domestic studies from 2010 to 2020, this research makes a metaanalysis on the relationship between social network and college students′ entrepreneurial performance, and analyzes the influence of five moderating variables, including the sampled regions and the measurement method of entrepreneurial performance, etc. The results of metaanalysis show that the social network has a significant lifting effect on the entrepreneurial performance of college students, and both network size and network strength have a significant positive effect on the entrepreneurial performance of college students. The relationship between social network and college students′ entrepreneurial performance can be significantly adjusted by the sampled region, literature publication time, and entrepreneurial performance measurement method. Based on these findings, it suggests that university students should integrate strategic resources through social network, innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities should pay attention to improve social network expansion and management ability of students, and the government should enhance the intensity and pertinence of supporting policies.
