Abstract:In order to extend the DEVS with abilities of intelligent modeling and distributed simulation, a collaborative modeling and simulation method for Agent-DEVS based on HLA was studied. The formal description of Agent-DEVS federate models based on Parallel-DEVS was proposed. The models ports in AgentDEVS were translated into data objects in HLA and the structure of the models was given. The communication mechanism was analyzed. The mapping between knowledge update in Agent-DEVS and attribute update in HLA, and that between models coupling in Agent-DEVS and instances interaction in HLA, were established respectively. Finally, the modeling and simulation application for material supply in emergent disaster was put forward. The results show that the reusability of Agent-DEVS models is enhanced by HLA and the interoperability of the models is enriched by knowledge update mechanism. In addition, the autonomy and independent ability for transaction processing are improved significantly.
