Abstract:[Abstract]Objective: To optimize the process on extracting the active principle of the Shengji Yuhong plaster based on the effects of improving vascular growth. Methods: The proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells was taken as pharmacodynamics index to compare the advantage of extracting the active principle of the Shengji Yuhong plaster in angelica sinensis, liquorice, radix angelicae and lithospermum by water extraction, oil extraction and alcohol extraction respectively, followed by investigating the effects of angiogenesis with reflux or diacolation on each composed herbs to determine the optimal process for preparation of the active principle of Shengji Yuhong plaster. Results: The optimal processes for preparation of the active principle of Shengji Yuhong plaster were as follows: angelica sinensis and liquorice were mixed and extracted by the right amount of 70% ethanol. And radix angelicae and lithospermum were mixed with right amount of 70% ethanol followed by percolation extraction. Then daemonorops draco was mixed homogenized in the percolation and added with the extractions of angelica sinensis and liquorice finally to complete the whole process. Conclusion: The preparation process of alcohol extraction for the active principle of Shengji Yuhong plaster showed better angiogenic effects and good quality control than those of traditional preparing process.
