Abstract:By using selective culture medium,a bacterial strain JD15 which could deoxidize perchlorate was isolated from the perchlorate sewage.Based on the analysis of strain JD15 on cell shape, structure, physiochemical characteristics and sequence similarity, the strain was defined as G-,Brevibacterium with high sequence similarity of 16S rDNA and perchlorate reductase alpha subunit precursor(pcrA) gene to Dechloromonas sp.agitata(AY180108.1).JD15 grew well under the conditions of t=25 ℃,pH=7 and ρ(ClO-4)=5×10-3~5×103 mg·L-1.When JD15 grew in medium containing 0.5~10 mg·L-1 perchlorate for 4 or 30 days, perchlorate decreased by more than 50% and 80%,respectively.The results suggest that JD15 has a potential for perchlorate removal in environment.
