Abstract:Concerning the pollution status of Yangtze River by oily ballast water,ozone oxidation technology was applied to solve this problem.The principle of using the ozone oxidation technology to treat ballast water was introduced.The oil removal rate and some factors,such as ozone concentration,liquid temperature and treatment time were analyzed.The results show that the oil removal rate of oil ballast water reaches over 90 percent after 8 minutes′ oxidation by ozone when the mass concentration of the ozone gas load rises to 8.28 mg/L.In addition,the temperature does not affect the removal of the oil significantly and pH plays an important role in the process.The pH and COD of the oily ballast water decline in the ozone oxidation process.
