Development and adaptability verification of
recycled rubber resin composite modifier

Abstract:The effects of recycled rubber resin on the three indices of asphalt were investigated, and the influence of recycled rubber resin on the stabilities of asphalt segregation and high temperature was also discussed. A new recycled rubber resin composite modifier was developed, and the adaptability of three kinds of typical asphalt to the recycled rubber resin composite modifier was evaluated. The results show that with the increasing of recycled rubber resin content, the asphalt penetration is decreased, while the ductility and the softening point are increased gradually. With the increasing of recycled rubber powder dosage, asphalt penetration, ductility and softening point are all increased with latter decreasing, while the segregation degree between recycled rubber resin and asphalt is decreased with latter increasing. However, the dynamic stability of asphalt mixture is increased gradually. The asphalt ductility is obviously improved by 2# styrene butadiene rubber, and the newly developed recycled rubber resin composite modifier has good adaptability to the matrix asphalt.
