Frontier techniques and prospect of in-wheel motor for electric vehicle

Abstract:The frontier techniques and implementation situations of inwheel motor for electric vehicle were introduced. The type, structure and overview of permanent magnet inwheel motor were described. The general principle of magnet field adjustment inside permanent magnet inwheel motor was summarized. The key technologies of structure optimization, torque control strategy, electromagnetic vibration and noise control approach for permanent magnet inwheel motor were elaborated. The current research on the multifield coupling effects was analyzed. The prospects of inwheel motor drive technologies of integration design, fault tolerance, controlbywire, multifield coupling analysis and vehicle optimization design for electric vehicle in the future were also discussed.
