Abstract:Objective: To test the value of detection of heart type-fatty acid binding protein(H-FABP) on evaluating the patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods: H-FABP was measured in 196 healthy persons and 196 patients with atrial fibrillation by ELISA one-step sandwich assay,at the same time,creatine kinase isoenzyme-MB (CK-MB)and cardiac troponin I(cTnI) were determined. Results: The value of H-FABP in patients before treatment with atrial fibrillation,patients with atrial fibrillation after treatment,healthy persons were (2.8±1.3) μg/L,(2.3±1.4) μg/L,(1.6±1.1) μg/L;the value of cTnI were (0.26±0.05) μg/L,(0.23±0.06) μg/L,(0.05±0.02) μg/L;and the value of CK-MB were (12.8±3.6) U/L,(13.6±3.1) U/L,(12.1±2.7) U/L. There was significant difference in H-FABP level between patients before treatment,patients after treatment,healthy persons(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in cTnI level between patients before treatment and patients after treatment (P>0.05). There was significant difference in cTnI level between patients with atrial fibrillation and healthy persons(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in CK-MB level between patients before treatment,patients after treatment,healthy persons (P>0.05).Conclusion: Serum HFABP to patients with atrial fibrillation who tested have an important clinical value.
