Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical diagnostic value of cardiac troponinI(cTnI) and NTproBNP in children with pneumonia complicated with heart failure(HF).Methods: Fifty children with pneumonia complicated with HF(group A), 50 children with pneumonia and without HF(group B) and 50 healthy children (control group) were enrolled in the study. The plasma cTnI, plasma amino N terminal type B natriuretic peptide precursor(NTproBNP) and cardiac function indexes were compared among three groups. The relationship between plasma cTnI, NTproBNP and cardiac function indexes was analyzed by linear correlation analysis, and the levels of plasma cTnI and NTproBNP in children with different cardiac function grades were compared. Results:There were significant differences in plasma cTnI, NTproBNP, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventricular fractional shortening(LVFS) among three groups (P<0.05), and there were significant differences in the levels of plasma cTnI and NTproBNP levels between children with different cardiac function grades(P<0.05). Linear correlation analysis showed that in children with pneumonia complicated with HF plasma, NTproBNP and cTnI were negatively correlated with LVEF and LVFS(r=-0.702,-0.638,-0.826,-0.869,P<0.05).Conclusion: cTnI and NTproBNP are of important significance in the diagnosis of pneumonia with HF, and the levels are significantly related to the cardiac function indexes.
