This paper is to provide a theoretical base and countermeasures for university new media operation and management. After sorting out the characteristics and formation process of the university new media information dissemination, it constructs the influencing factors system on the dissemination effect of university new media from the perspective of information ecology. The DEMATEL method is used to identify the key influencing factors and analyze the interrelationships between the factors. The results show that the professional level of the platform is the most important factor affecting information dissemination. The interactivity of the platform, the activity of users, the coverage of the platform, and the information literacy of the operators are all key factors. Suggestions were also put forward to improve university network environment.
