Abstract：The outstanding contribution of Yuan Haowens epitaphs lies in their value for historical data studies, which has been discussed by many scholars. 99 of his epitaphs provided detailed account and analysis of the poverty and forgery resulted from “relocation of the capital in Zhenyou Period” and “measuringtaxing farmland”. Their value for historical data studies is well highlighted with their supplements to The History of Jin Dynasty.
