Clinical electrophysiologic characteristics and ablation therapy of premature ventricular contraction and ventricular tachycardia originating from the right ventricular outflow tract
Abstract:Ventricular outflow tract is a common origin of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia or premature ventricular contraction(PVC), about 70% of which originates from the right ventricular outflow tract. The catheter ablation can be applied on symptomatic PVC patients with high load, patients with ventricular tachycardia cardiomyopathy and those being intolerant of medication therapy. At present, the ablation method becomes one of the important therapies with high success rate, low recurrence rate and fewer complications. This paper summarizes the clinical electrophysiological features of ventricular arrhythmias originating from the right ventricular outflow tract so as to clinically guide the diagnosis and treatment.
