Abstract:With the continuous development of Internet technology and extensive popularization of smartphones, remote monitoring and management of atrial fibrillation(AF) provide a completely new clinic model for patients. It helps to identify AF and evaluate its severity as early as possible to perform long term continuous monitoring and management among the highrisk group of AF. Timely intervention can reduce incidences of cardiovascular adverse events, and related complications including heart failure, disability and premature death, so as to ultimately reduce medical cost, increase social productivity and improve patients' quality of life. This paper mainly introduces the research status and future prospect of telemedicine in the field of AF.
