Abstract:After nearly 30 years of development, teaching academic has become one of the most important ideas that affect college teaching and academic careers. From the perspective of international development, the value of teaching academic gradually emerges, including changing the paradigm of university teaching quality assurance, driving the academic reform of university organizations, and reshaping the model of university teacher development. However, in the process of development, teaching academic also faces many difficulties theoretically and practically, which are mainly shown as ambiguity and diversity of the concept, lack of clear methods and methodologies, controversial ways of peer evaluation, and deviations in participants. In order to avoid these obstacles, teaching academic should turn to system integration, that is integration of teaching academic and the concept of "returning to teaching", teaching academic and discipline organizational norms, teaching academic and the teacher development system, teaching academic and the specific institutional context and structure. To achieve the development of teaching academic, China should regard it as an important concept to guarantee the quality of higher education, attach importance to the role of discipline associations and organizations in promoting teaching academic, practice teaching academic in system integration, and do well in teaching academic research under Chinese context.
