MPPT control based on duty cycle perturbation and observation method

Abstract:To solve the maximum power point shift of PV array caused by nonlinear and timevarying of PV grid connected system, a MPPT control algorithm was proposed based on duty cycle perturbation and observation method. Based on the equivalent circuit of PV array, it was determined when the PV array could obtain the maximum power. The process of maximum power point tracking, the structure of the PV grid connected system and the realization of MPPT were also discussed. The principle of MPPT control was analyzed, and the simulation was completed with Matlab. The results show that the method has a better antiinterference ability than duty cycle constant voltage MPPT method. The proposed method has a simple control structure with good suitability for engineering applications.
