Abstract:To solve the problem about water non-uniform distribution of water-supplying system in cooling towers, friction characteristics of components and pipe-systems were studied, and conversion formulas between dynamic pressure, static pressure and distributed pressure of each nozzle were deduced according to the Bernoulli's Equation and Gardel's Equation. To achieve the uniform distribution of cooling water, computational models based on controlling of flow difference between the maximum and minimum nozzle flows were founded, and reliable computational methods used to design and calculate the distribution systems were proposed according to the required flow difference. The computational methods show good effect for actual projects applications.
