Abstract:The monomers of acrylic acid and N-isopropylacrylamide were introduced into the channels of amino-modified SBA-15 and the functional mesoporous composite, PAA-PNIPA/APS-SBA-15, was prepared by free radical polymerization. The structure of the composite was characterized by Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and N2 adsorption-desorption, respectively. The drug release behavior of the composite was investigated. The results show that the composite remains ordered pore structure, the polymers are present inside the channels, and the nanocomposite keeps the pore volume of 0313 1 cm3/g and the specific surface area of 1714 m2/g. It shows the property of drug sustainedrelease and both thermo-sensitivity and pHsensitivity in the simulated solutions.
