Abstract:To explore the relationship among asphalt and aggregate adhesion evaluation methods, four kinds of adhesion evaluation methods of boiling, water immersion, contact angle and photoelectric colorimetry were used to evaluate the adhesion of different asphalts to diabase under multiple freezethaw cycles. The adhesion of the six types of asphalt was analyzed, and the degrees of strip, adhesion and adhesion between asphalt and aggregate were also discussed under multiple freezethaw cycles. The correlation analysis was carried out on the evaluation indicators of different methods to characterize the correlation among different evaluation methods. The results show that for diabase, after freezethaw cycles, the adhesion of different asphalts to diabase is decreased by more than 80% before freezing and thawing, and the degree of strip is increased by over 90%. According to the correlation analysis among evaluation indicators, the correlation of strip degree and water immersion level and the correlation of strip degree and adhesion work are better than those of other evaluation indicators.
