Abstract: In order to design a new readwrite storage with magnetooptical photonic crystal, two close field circulation loops were designed based on the oneway edge mode of magnetooptical photonic crystals. A micro cavity was set beside the designed loop, and the electromagnetic signals could be stored in the loop. The results show that when two loops are merged, the electromagnetic signals can be extracted from the former loop and written into another loop because of the coupling of cavity. On the contrary, the signals can be also read from the latter loop and written into the former loop. The reading and writing operations can be realized when the two loops are combined, and the function of signal store can also be achieved when they are divided into two parts. The application range of magnetooptical photonic crystals is extended, and a new method for designing readwrite storage is provided.
