Abstract:To solve the problems of complex operating and timeconsuming for traditional detection operation of germination rate, a rapid detection method of brown rice germination was proposed based on near infrared spectroscopy. Spectra data of 192 samples for two varieties of brown rice were divided into calibration set with 144 samples and validation set with 48 samples.According to different preprocessing methods and chemometric modeling methods, the spectral differences of samples with different aging time were analyzed to set the prediction model of brown rice germination. The results show that by second derivative, SNV, detrend preprocessing and partial least squares(PLS), the optimal model is established in the wavelength range from 570 to 1 848 nm. The determination coefficients of calibration set(RC) and validation set(RP) are 0.976 and 0.951,respectively,and the standard deviations of calibration set(SEC) and validation set(SEP) are 1.244 and 1.935. The measurement of brown rice germination rate is feasible by near infrared spectroscopy, and the model of brown rice germination rate prediction has good predictive ability.
