Preparation of nano-alumina powder by active carbon micro-reactor method |

Abstract Porous and structurally-ordered active carbon was prepared firstly by chemical activation technology with ZnCl2 as activating agent.Due to its characteristics of high rate of pore and easy to remove at high temperatures of active carbon,the pore was regarded as a field of localized reaction and named active carbon micro-reactor.Chemical reaction was limited in a small pore.Preparations of the precursor and powder using these pores were studied and the effect of the micro-reactor was also investigated.The results show that the precursor particles were scattered in the reactor wall with the uniform and spherical size,the spherical precursor particles were firmly adsorbed on the reactor wall.The temperature of the powder crystal transform was in step with the micro-reactor removal.The micro-reactor was effective in preventing the reunion in the process of sinter.At last,the alfa phase alumina powders with excellent dispersion and size distribution were obtained
