Abstract:Combining the simple geometric constrained deformation with the Catmull-Clark subdivision algorithm,the deformation process included three steps.Firstly,some interrelated constrained deforming features and the range of deformation were designed and put on the given subdivision level mesh of an object.Secondly,according to the subdivision algorithm,the image of the constraint deforming features and the range of deformation at successive subdivision levels were resolved.At last,the simple geometric constrai-ned deformation method was again applied to the required successive subdivision level.Experiments show that this deformation algorithm is straightforward,interactive easily,and can satisfy constrained features in any subdivision level.In the future,it is expected to be used in CAD software and computer animation.
