Abstract:Hydrodynamic features of salt-out crystal particles are studied in salt-out liquid-solid two-phase flow and the non-equilibrium between liquid and solid phase. According to the salt-out flow characteristics it is found that Phase Doppler Particle Anemometer (PDPA) is the most effective instrument used for the flow measurements among current flow measurement methods. Flow in pipeline and turbomachine are tested by PDPA as examples. Measurement methods are introduced, including nonspherical particle measurement, window effections, discrimination between two phases, circumferential orientation in rotated impeller, and 3D velocity measurement. Error analysis is also taken. It provides an effective measurement means to reveal the mechanism in salt-out flow.
