Abstract:To investigate the influence of extrusion grinding process on nozzle flow and atomization of injector, under the process conditions with different extrusion grinding processing time and system pressure, the spray test picture of injector was taken by the spray test bench and the high speed camera. The injector performance test bench and the EFS single injection gauge were used to measure the flow rate of orifice. The change rules of the spray angle, the spray penetration, primary and secondary breakup and the spray difference were analyzed. The results show that with the increasing of extrusion grinding time and system pressure, the extrusion grinding increment of the nozzle is increased gradually. When the extrusion grinding increment is increased from 5% to 20%, the spray angle is decreased from 14.8° to 12.6°. The spray penetration is increased from 36.20 mm to 44.20 mm, and the penetration length of primary breakup is increased from 3.93 mm to 22.20 mm with increased penetration length proportion of primary breakup. The spray difference is increased with the increasing of extrusion grinding increment, which is not beneficial to the uniform distribution of fuel in the combustion chamber.
