Abstract:The commercial vehicle autonomous emergency braking(AEB)system is prone to malfunction in curve road due to only obtaining front environmental information with millimeterwave radar. To solve the problem, the position compensation was adopted for target vehicle to determine whether it is in the same lane as the own vehicle. The vehicle information interfered by the side lane was filtered. Based on braking process and hazard coefficient(wf), the AEB multilevel early warning and autonomous braking control strategy was designed. The value of timetocollision was used as evaluation index to verify whether the effective collision avoidance can be achieved under dangerous conditions. The simulation results indicate that the curve compensation algorithm can distinguish vehicles in different lanes and effectively avoid the false braking. The multilevel early warning and autonomous braking control strategy can meet expectation indicator and work effectively, and the active safety of vehicles in curve road is improved.
