Analysis on protective effect of deep hole grouting from
surface on foundation pit and adjacent building

Abstract:To control the effect of foundation pit construction on adjacent building, the effects of deep hole grouting from surface on foundation pit and adjacent building were investigated. Based on the foundation pit in Shenzhen Metro Line 10, the effects of three conditions of deep hole grouting from surface on settlement deformation of building, lateral deformation and support internal force of foundation pit were analyzed by ABAQUS software. The results show that the lateral deformation of foundation pit and the settlement deformation of adjacent foundation building are decreased by deep hole grouting from surface, while it has slight effect on the bottom deformation of foundation pit. The stress concentration is observed on grouting hole at the corner, which is especially obvious in the 3rd condition. The effect of grouting hole in the 2nd condition and 3rd condition is close, while the stress in grouting hole of 2nd condition is more uniform and reasonable.
