Experiments of electro-thermal behavior for carbon black-carbon fiber concrete and carbon black concrete

Abstract:To investigate the electrical conductivity and the electric heating effect of carbon black conductive concrete and carbon fiber-carbon black diphasic conductive concrete,the two concrete specimens were respectively connected into direct current circuit to observe the temperature and heat generated by electricity charging. The heating effect and the electrical resistivity of the two kinds of conductive concrete were compared and discussed. The results show that carbon fiber-carbon black diphasic conductive concrete has better electrical conductivity than carbon black concrete. The concrete specimen with 1% carbon black and 2% carbon fiber possesses the electrical resistivity less than 100 Ω?cm. The rates of temperature rising of both kinds of conductive concrete are stable with good heating effects. The electrical resistivity of carbon black concrete is stable in conduction, while the electrical resistivity of carbon fiber-carbon black diphasic conductive concrete is increased with the increasing of conduction time.
