Abstract:In order to obtain the influence of nozzle falloff angle on jet pump, the jet pump of XDPm255A from a company in Zhejiang was investigated based on the combination of numerical calculation and experimental research. According to numerical results of Fluent, the influence of nozzle falloff angle on internal flow field and external characteristic of jet pump in different area ratio was analyzed. By data fitting, the fitting trendline of nozzle falloff angles in high efficiency area with area ratio from 2.01 to 5.06 was realized and verified by experiments. The results show that when the area ratio of jet pump is constant, there is an optimal flow ratio to obtain the maximum efficiency of jet pump for each nozzle angle. As the area ratio increases, the optimal flow ratio increases. The reliability of the fitting trendline of nozzle falloff angles in high efficiency area was validated by test results.
