Abstract:In order to investigate the medium consistency pulp flow behaviors under different shear stress, the experimental rig was established to obtain the fluidization characteristics and achieve pumping purpose. The pulp shear stress was analyzed to measure the density, shear stress and impeller speed of medium consistency pulp. The relationship between shear stress and rotation speed was investigated to establish a mathematical model. According to the model and test analysis, the fluidization characteristics of different mass consistency pulp were discussed to obtain apparent yield stress and critical shear stress. The relationship among apparent yield stress, critical stress and pulp consistency was analyzed. The results show that the power number increases with the increasing of consistency and decreases with the increasing of rotational speed. When the power number approaches to a minor stable value, the medium consistency pulp is in fluidization.
