Abstract:In order to investigate the coordinated relations among different braking modes of integrated electromagnetic and friction brake system, the switching control strategy was proposed based on the sufficient analyses of different braking modes. The strategy included two parts of management strategy and coordinated control strategy of braking torque. Two representative switching situations were chosen to carry out the simulations on the modeling platform of Matlab/Simulink and Matlab/Stateflow. The simulation results show that on the premise of meeting braking requirement, the switching control strategy improves the working condition of traditional friction brake, and effectively ensures the braking comfort in the process of modes switching. The switching control strategy can improve the vehicle brake performance.
