Model and test verification on corrosion detection of steel strand based on metal magnetic memory magnetic flux leakage signal

Abstract:The metal magnetic memory technology was introduced to detect the corrosion of steel strand as an important component of cablestayed bridge. Combined with the magnetic dipole model of defect magnetic flux leakage detection, the magnetic flux leakage model of steel strand corrosion defect was established, and the magnetic flux leakage signal finite element numerical simulation and the experimental verification were carried out. Through theoretical research, simulation analysis and experimental verification, the distribution and variation characteristics of magnetic flux leakage signal of steel strand corrosion defects were analyzed, and the discrimination criteria of magnetic flux leakage signal detection of steel strand corrosion was constructed. The results show that there is unique corresponding relationship between the corrosion degree of steel strand and the magnetic flux leakage signal, and the corrosion degree of steel strand can be determined by detecting the magnitude and change of magnetic flux leakage signal around the steel strand. The normalized peak value of magnetic induction intensity for magnetic flux leakage signal and the corrosion degree of steel strand present Boltzmann function distribution, which can be used as the characteristic quantity to judge the corrosion degree of steel strand.
