Abstract:Because of the geometric complexity, it is hard to get accuracy parameters by traditional manual measurement. The image processing was used to filter the image and enhance the image edge. The random error caused by inner holes and edge burr was reduced, and the geometry features of projected area, contacted area, length, width, ratio and width of pattern were obtained. By the scanning image of tire footprint, a precise reconstruction of tire footprint was realized, and a fast measurement of geometric parameters of footprint was achieved to check the accuracy of system by test. The results show that the relative error of system is about 1.00%,and the system has good applicability for different tire types and color inks.
