Abstract:Active filter (AF) was applied to reduce the ripple of DC power supply, and the principle was analyzed. Based on the conventional structures, a novel series hybrid DC active filter was proposed. The main DC ripple component was filtered by the passive components, and the active module was used to improve the filtering effect. The hybrid AF could ensure the active filters not bearing DC component voltage and not flowing DC component current, and could be realized easily. The mathematical model of the system was established based on transfer function, and the control system was also analyzed in detail. Incorporating simple feedback control and the resistive load synthesis technology, a hybrid control structure was proposed to improve the suppressing ripple effect of DC power supply. The proposed method was verified by simulation and experiment results.
