Abstract:Based on the combine software simulations of Isight, ADAMS and MATLAB, the hardpoints influences on suspension kinematics characteristic indexes of toe, camber, wheelbase, wheeltrack, roll center in parallel wheel travel condition and minimum turning diameter,Ackerman percentage under steering condition and full vehicle steady handling indexes of understeer, roll gradient and maximum lateral acceleration were analyzed by parameter study and orthogonal experimental design. The relationships among hardpoints, suspension kinematics characteristics index and steady handling index were investigated. The sensitivity analysis method was proposed to precisely evaluate the influence of hardpoints on the suspension and steady handling performance. Screening key hardpoints, the distribution of suspension characteristic parameters were calculated on the assumption that each hardpoint was normal distribution. The robust optimization of key hardpoints shows that the suspension has good robust.
