Abstract:In order to solve the problem that denial-of-sleep attacking seriously reduceds network life cycle in wireless sensor network, a new scheme was proposed,employing fake schedule switch with RSSI(receive signal strength indicator) measurement aid. The sensors can detect the presence of denialofsleep attack with RSSI measurement aid and initiate a fake schedule switch process to defend the attackers. Benefited from such mechanism, the sensor nodes can reduce and weaken harms from collision, exhaustion and broadcast attacks,and as a result make the attackers lose their energy so as to quickly die. So the legitimate sensor nodes are protected from attack of malicious nodes. Simulations were implemented on NS229 platform,based on standard S-MAC module. Results show that at a little cost of energy and delay,network health can be guaranteed and packets drop ratio can be decreased compared with original scenarios without the scheme.
