Abstract:Dam failure is easy to occur in the finegrained soil tailings under seepage conditions. On the basis of Lengkengchong tailings reservoir in Xingan County, the equivalent elastic modulus and the lateral pressure coefficient of dam slope were obtained by BMP90 displacement back analysis program. The Midas GTS NX numerical simulation software was used to calculate the stability of dam slope and the influence of saturation line on dam stability under flood conditions. Through onsite monitoring and measuring, the various seepage drainage and reinforcement effects were compared and analyzed. The results show that under the existing geological conditions, the minimum safety factor of dam slope is 1125 0, which is less than the code value of 1315 and needs reinforcement treatment. Under seepage condition, the safety factor in flood period is decreased from 1012 5 under normal head to 0938 2, which indicates that the increasing of saturation line leads to the instability of dam body. Radiation well is suitable for drainage and reinforcement of finegrained soil tailings pond. After reinforcement, the infiltration line is effectively reduced, and the safety factor is increased to 1323 4, which meets the safety requirements.
