Abstract:To investigate the relationship between cavity shape and hydrodynamic of supercavitating vehicle with conical cavitator and discuss the effects of conical cavitator and tail skirt on vehicle performance, the relationship between cavitation shape and attack angle was analyzed. The fluid dynamic with corresponding cavity shape was also discussed. The universality of cavity shape during changing process was demonstrated,and the difference between cavitator cavity and vehicle cavity at high attack angle was analyzed. The coordination between conical cavitator and tail skirt of supercavitating vehicle was investigated based on the hydrodynamic force. The results show that the hydrodynamic has strong correlation with cavity shape, and it shows certain variation law with attack angle. The structure of conical cavitator with tail skirt can improve the mobility of self-guide vehicle.
