Abstract:To realize accurate and timely health condition evaluation and coordination control of manufacturing system to achieve overall optimization of manufacturing process, the regulation mechanism of endocrine system was analyzed. The similarities between endocrine system and health status monitoring and evaluation system were given, and the architecture model of manufacturing system was constructed based on endocrine system. The health monitoring and treatment method for machine failure was proposed. The realtime assessment on health state for machine systems was conducted effectively by fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). The health evaluation and the coordinated control for an existing flexible manufacturing cell were investigated. The results show that the overall health value of manufacturing cell is 0.588, which means that the manufacturing cell is in poor state.The inspection and maintenance should be carried out in a short downtime. The realtime health value on machine m1 was simulated when the temperature was changed. The consistency between experimental result and calculation result shows that the method is effective and feasible.
