Abstract:To investigate the rutting performance improvement effect of basalt fiber on asphalt mixture, the dynamic creep tests of AC13 and SMA13 asphalt mixtures with or without basalt fiber were conducted at 40, 50 and 60 ℃ temperature on UTM25 servo type material dynamic testing system. The dynamic creep curves and creep times of the six different gradation asphalt mixtures were compared and analyzed. The results show that after adding basalt fiber, the asphalt mixture permanent strain is decreased for the same action numbers, and the cumulative number to damage stage of asphalt mixture is bigger than that without fiber. The flow number of asphalt mixture decreases with the increasing of temperature. The decreasing trend is slowed down by adding basalt fiber, and the decreasing effect is more obvious at higher temperature. Adding basalt fiber can effectively improve the antirutting performance of asphalt mixture.
