Abstract:Simulation accuracy of nonlinear load characteristics was affected by two types of variance of unloading curve and transition curve in conventional suspension nonlinear model of load characteristics. To solve the problem, considering the reversal point of deflection, new algorithms for unloading curve and transition curve were proposed based on Fancher model. According to the algorithm of unloading curve, the unloading curve variance of suspension nonlinear load characteristics was described well, and the transition curve variance of suspension nonlinear load characteristics was also described by algorithm of transition curve. A new model of suspension nonlinear load characteristics was established to simulate vehicle quality dynamics. Comparison with the results of parallel wheel travel of suspension K&C test indicates that the proposed model can simulate the unloading and transition curves, and the accuracy of suspension nonlinear model of load characteristics can be improved.
